Community Outreach

Community outreach is a fundamental commitment for Metro, from our Corporate Offices to our local stores, and is reflected in the actions of our people. We regularly give back in a variety of ways to communities and organizations where we live and work.

As a company, we provide corporate sponsorship to Habitat for Humanity® of Lake County because of its long history of helping low-income families realize the dream of owning their own home. Our sponsorship includes:

• Providing funds to both purchase materials and to construct new roads to facilitate new community development and home construction
• Providing free storage to families waiting the completion of their new home
• Volunteering to help build new homes

In addition to our involvement with Habitat for Humanity, we also support a number of organizations at both a corporate and facility level. These organizations include: Toys For Tots, Girl Scouts of America, the American Red Cross, various youth sports organizations, and other philanthropic organizations whose missions support health and well-being or environmental causes. This support is provided through funding, providing storage units, and through volunteerism.
